A Norwegian security guard at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo has been arrested on suspicion of espionage for Russia and Iran.
The man, in his 20s, was detained at his home on Wednesday. A court ordered him held for four weeks, with the first week in solitary confinement.
According to the security police, the guard was cooperative and had handed over a substantial amount of digital evidence.
The suspect’s lawyer confirmed contact with Russian and Iranian intelligence officers but denied that classified information was shared.
