Chuck Woolery, former ‘Wheel’ host, dies at 83

Legendary game show host Chuck Woolery, best known for hosting “Wheel of Fortune” from 1975 to 1981, has passed away.

Woolery’s longtime friend and podcast co-host Mark Young was with him when he fell ill. Woolery complained of feeling unwell and went to rest.

When he returned, he reported difficulty breathing. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he sadly passed away.

Woolery’s career spanned decades and included hosting “Love Connection,” “Scrabble,” and “The Dating Game.” He also appeared as himself in several television shows and pursued a music career in country music.

Woolery is survived by his wife and four children. He was 83 years old.
