Overnight, Ukrainian drones attacked the Crimean Peninsula, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Defense systems allegedly intercepted 25 drones over the Black Sea and Crimea.

Sevastopol City Repels Drone Attack

Mikhail Razvozhaev, Sevastopol’s governor, reported that air defenses thwarted a combined air attack on the city. Multiple drones were reportedly shot down over the Black Sea and Victory Park.

Widespread Drone Activity in Ukraine

The Defense Ministry claims that Russian forces shot down 54 drones over Russian-controlled areas on Tuesday night. Ukraine’s air force reported 89 Russian drones launched, with 36 shot down and 48 lost in flight. Drone debris damaged buildings in the Kyiv region, though no casualties were reported.

Zelenskyy Praises Anti-Drone Teams

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised Ukrainian anti-drone teams for their efforts. He urged international partners to restrict Moscow’s access to foreign components for drones and missiles.

Zelenskyy called for the ability to strike Russian military targets inside Russia to effectively protect Ukraine from attacks. He emphasized that limiting Russian weapons and launchers on Russian territory is crucial for countering Russian terror and war capacity.
