A California man, Raj Matharu, has been arrested at LAX for attempting to smuggle 71.5 pounds of methamphetamine. The meth was soaked into various clothing items, including a cow pajama onesie.

Matharu was preparing to board a flight to Sydney, Australia when screening officers noticed anomalies in his luggage. Upon inspection, officers found white residue on clothing items in both suitcases.

Field testing confirmed the residue was meth. Customs and Border Protection officers identified the items with residue in both suitcases, including underwear, socks, sweaters, and the onesie pajama.

Homeland Security Investigations agent Megan Palmer believes the meth was washed into the clothing and then dried, leaving a white residue. Matharu was arrested and is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. If convicted, he could face a minimum of 10 years in federal prison.
