Thanksgiving Made Easy
In the past, I relished cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family. But with the added responsibilities of marriage and motherhood, I’ve switched to ordering heat-and-serve meals from restaurants like Cracker Barrel and Costco.
These meals cost around the same as my usual grocery bill, saving me time and hassle. The food tastes great, and we can spend more time with family instead of slaving over the stove.
Our Thanksgiving dinners still include all the traditional dishes, just prepared by someone else. We’ve even enjoyed a few extras, like cornbread stuffing.
I miss the days of cooking, but I appreciate the convenience of outsourcing Thanksgiving dinner. It frees up time for quality time with my family.
We can now participate in activities like running Turkey Trots or playing games. With my kids’ busy schedules, it’s rare to have a day together, and I want to make the most of it.
While I may not always order Thanksgiving dinner to-go, it’s a great option for our current stage of life. I can focus on my family and create lasting memories instead of stressing over the kitchen.
