Pug Makes History at National Dog Show

For the first time ever, a pug named Vito has triumphed as Best in Show at the prestigious National Dog Show. Vito defeated over 1,900 competitors at the event held in Pennsylvania.

Impressive Victory

Vito emerged as the winner of the Toy Group before facing off against six other group champions. His victory marks a significant milestone for the breed. Weighing 18 pounds and hailing from North Carolina, Vito’s handler, Michael Scott, received a $20,000 grand prize.

Reserve Best in Show and New Breed

Verde, a Welsh Terrier, was named Reserve Best in Show. This year’s show welcomed a new addition: the Lancashire Heeler, a breed recently recognized by the American Kennel Club.
