Syracuse Upsets Miami in ACC Clash

Syracuse stunned No. 6 Miami on Saturday, rallying from a 21-0 deficit to win 42-38. Quarterback Kyle McCord led the charge for the Orange, throwing for 380 yards and three touchdowns.

Miami, once undefeated at 9-0, has now lost two of its last three games. The Hurricanes’ playoff hopes are fading after this latest setback.

Syracuse running back LeQuint Allen contributed two touchdowns and made crucial plays on the team’s final drive. Devin Grant also made a game-changing play, forcing a fumble and returning it for a touchdown.

Miami quarterback Cam Ward passed for 349 yards and two touchdowns, but his team settled for a field goal on their final drive instead of attempting a fourth-and-goal conversion.

Syracuse became the first team to defeat a ranked opponent three times this season. McCord set a new school record with 4,000 passing yards and 27 touchdown passes.

Miami must improve its defense and coach Mario Cristobal faces criticism for his conservative play-calling late in the game. Meanwhile, Syracuse showed resilience under first-year coach Fran Brown and awaits their bowl game destination.
