Big Ten Fines Michigan and Ohio State for Postgame Brawl

The Big Ten Conference has fined both Michigan and Ohio State $100,000 each following a postgame brawl after their rivalry game.

The incident occurred when Michigan players attempted to plant their flag on the field after upsetting Ohio State. Ohio State players reacted aggressively, leading to a melee.

The Big Ten cited both teams for violating the conference’s sportsmanship policy and jeopardizing the safety of players and spectators.

Footage captured by FOX Sports shows a Michigan flag being planted on the Ohio State logo, prompting the brawl. Ohio State’s Jack Sawyer removed the flag and threw it on the ground.

Police used pepper spray to break up the altercation.

Michigan running back Kalel Mullings condemned the incident, calling it “bad for the sport” and “classless.”

Michigan won the game 13-10.
