Tragic End to Cruise Passenger’s Overboard Incident

A Norwegian Cruise Line passenger has tragically gone missing after going overboard from the Norwegian Epic on Thursday afternoon. The 51-year-old man was on a family cruise that departed from Florida on Saturday.

The incident occurred at around 3 p.m. while the ship was sailing from Jamaica to the Bahamas. Authorities were immediately notified, and search and rescue efforts were launched. However, despite extensive efforts, the passenger could not be located.

The cruise line confirmed that the man’s family members on board are receiving support and assistance during this difficult time. The cause of the incident remains unknown.

The Norwegian Epic, which can accommodate over 4,000 passengers, has 19 decks and a crew of 1,724. The ship was cleared to continue its voyage after the search was called off.
