The Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff hopes remain alive after a thrilling 30-24 overtime victory over the Denver Broncos.
Joe Burrow led the Bengals’ comeback, throwing three touchdown passes to Tee Higgins and rushing for another. Higgins hauled in 11 catches for 131 yards.
The Broncos nearly pulled off a miraculous comeback themselves. With 1:29 remaining in regulation, Marvin Mims caught a touchdown to tie the game and force overtime.
In overtime, Burrow guided the Bengals into field goal range, but Cade York missed a 33-yard attempt. However, Cincy forced a punt and Burrow found Higgins again for a game-winning touchdown.
The Bengals’ playoff hopes now hinge on their ability to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 while the Broncos lose to the Kansas City Chiefs. Denver’s playoff fate remains uncertain and will be decided in the final week of the season.
