Gaudreau’s Wife Welcomes Son Months After His Death

Matthew Gaudreau’s wife, Madeline, has welcomed their son, Tripp, into the world. The birth comes just four months after Matthew and his brother, Johnny, were tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident.

Madeline shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of Tripp holding her hand. She wrote that Tripp is “Mommy & Daddy’s world,” keeping Matthew’s memory alive. Matthew had helped choose the name before his passing.

The Gaudreau brothers were struck by an alleged drunk driver while riding their bikes in New Jersey. The driver, Sean Higgins, was arrested and charged with two counts of death by auto.

Matthew’s wife had spoken about his excitement to become a father in her eulogy. She said that he was preparing eagerly, researching baby care and ensuring that she was well-cared for.

Matthew was 29 and Johnny was 31 at the time of their deaths. May they rest in peace.
