A man is in critical condition after being pushed onto subway tracks in New York City on New Year’s Eve.
The incident occurred at the 18th Street station, where a 45-year-old man was struck by a train after being shoved by a hooded male.
The victim miraculously survived the impact and was taken to a hospital with a head injury. He is currently listed in stable condition.
Police have arrested 23-year-old Kamel Hawkins for attempted murder in connection with the incident.
The incident comes amidst a recent spate of violent incidents on the New York City subway system, including a deadly arson attack on a homeless man two weeks ago.
