Actor Justin Baldoni Sues Ryan Reynolds and Accuses Blake Lively of Script Tampering
Justin Baldoni, director of the film “It Ends with Us,” has filed a lawsuit against The New York Times and actor Ryan Reynolds. Baldoni alleges that the Times falsely reported sexual harassment allegations made by co-star Blake Lively.
In the lawsuit, Baldoni claims that the Times relied heavily on Lively’s unverified narrative. He also accuses Reynolds of being aggressive towards him for defending Lively.
Baldoni and other plaintiffs allege that Lively and Reynolds made unauthorized changes to the film’s script. Baldoni claims that Lively constantly revised the script, causing stress and financial strain.
Baldoni Alleges Reynolds ‘Berated’ Him
Baldoni alleges that Reynolds verbally abused him for asking about Lively’s weight, which he needed to ensure safety while filming a scene. The incident reportedly occurred in front of celebrity friends.
Lively’s Lawsuit Disputes Weight Inquiry
In her lawsuit, Lively claims that Baldoni criticized her body after she gave birth. She alleges that Baldoni secretly contacted her trainer and implied that she needed to lose weight.
Allegations of Pressure from Reynolds and Lively
Baldoni claims that Lively and Reynolds pressured Sony to exclude him from promotions for “It Ends with Us.” He also alleges that Reynolds demanded that his agent at WME drop him.
However, WME has denied that Reynolds pressured them to drop Baldoni. Baldoni was dropped by the agency after The New York Times published Lively’s allegations.
