Nancy Pelosi Blames Trump for Ongoing Violence After January 6th
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has accused former President Donald Trump of fueling violence since the January 6th, 2021 attack on the Capitol. She specifically pointed to the October 2022 attack on her husband, Paul Pelosi.
Pelosi believes the threats against elected officials have escalated beyond herself. She expressed concern that serving the public should not come with the risk of harm to family members.
Pelosi Questions Trump’s Pardons for January 6th Rioters
Pelosi labeled Trump a “strange person” for his pledge to pardon some January 6th participants. While acknowledging that Trump plans to consider pardons on a case-by-case basis, she hopes he does not follow through.
