A federal judge has held Rudy Giuliani in contempt for failing to hand over personal items and information to two Georgia election workers he defamed.
Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss claimed that Giuliani had not paid any of the $148 million judgment against him. They said he had not surrendered valuable items like a signed Joe DiMaggio shirt, a Reggie Jackson picture, and household furnishings.
Giuliani was found liable for defaming Freeman and Moss in 2023 by falsely accusing them of election fraud.
In a statement, Giuliani’s representative said that attorneys may try to take away his personal belongings, but they cannot erase his record of public service.
