Musk Plans DOGE Reps at Government Agencies

Additional Coverage:

President-elect Donald Trump has established a commission called the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), co-led by Elon Musk.

DOGE aims to cut government spending by deploying staffers to major agencies. Each agency will receive two representatives, while others will be stationed at the US Digital Service.

The commission is actively hiring in fields such as software engineering and finance. Musk has estimated that DOGE could save the government up to $2 trillion.

DOGE’s representatives will work to identify and implement cost-saving measures within the agencies they are assigned to. The commission is expected to complete its work by 2026.
