Morrison’s Brother Says Singer Needed Break Before Death

Additional Coverage:

In a recent documentary, Andy Morrison, brother of the late Jim Morrison, shed light on the musician’s untimely demise. According to Andy, Jim’s excessive alcohol consumption and unhealthy lifestyle were the primary causes of his death.

Jim’s body was found in a Paris bathtub in 1971, but no autopsy was conducted. This has fueled conspiracy theories that he faked his own death to escape the pressures of fame. However, Andy believes Jim simply needed a break from the Doors.

Doors guitarist Robby Krieger dismisses such theories, arguing that Jim’s passion for music would have made it impossible for him to abandon it completely. Krieger believes that if Jim were alive, he would still be performing.

Ray Manzarek, the Doors’ keyboardist, occasionally hinted at Jim’s possible survival, but Krieger found this notion implausible. He believes that Manzarek’s comments were more about keeping the band’s legacy alive than any actual belief in Jim’s survival.
