Drummer Praises Inmate Firefighters

Additional Coverage:

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker recently spoke about his visit with inmate firefighters battling the Los Angeles wildfires. He was deeply impressed by their dedication.

Barker was inspired by the non-violent offenders working 24-hour shifts for just a dollar an hour. He wants to use his platform to highlight their efforts.

He noted many inmates made mistakes at a young age. Barker believes fighting the fires gives them a chance to contribute positively.

Kim Kardashian, Barker’s sister-in-law, has also been advocating for better pay for these inmate firefighters. Barker echoed this sentiment and hopes some can pursue firefighting careers after their release. He considers them heroes, alongside other first responders.
