Dr. Phil Rides Along on ICE Raids

Additional Coverage:

Chicago – TV personality Dr. Phil recently embedded with ICE agents in Chicago, documenting their deportation operations.

He joined Border Czar Tom Homan as agents apprehended several individuals residing in the country illegally. Chicago has been designated a focus for immigration enforcement under the Trump administration.

Dr. Phil’s footage, slated to air on Merit TV, includes interviews with those arrested.

One exchange involved a man from Thailand accused of sex crimes against children. The man denied the charges and claimed his mother was a US citizen.

He also recognized Dr. Phil from television.

Homan cited the man as an example of the dangers of sanctuary city policies. He argued that such policies allow criminals to remain on the streets.

The operation targeted over 270 individuals identified as criminals or terrorists, according to Dr. Phil. He emphasized that the operation was targeted and not a sweep of entire neighborhoods.

ICE reported apprehending over 460 individuals in the initial days of the operation. Charges included sexual assault, domestic violence, and weapons offenses.

Dr. Phil inquired if agents were targeting children in schools, a claim Homan denied.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson reaffirmed the city’s commitment to sanctuary city policies and vowed to protect its migrant population from federal immigration actions. He criticized the administration for creating fear and directed city departments to comply with the Illinois Trust Act, which restricts cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
