Cocoa Beach police busted a massive underage drinking party, reportedly attended by over 100 juveniles, on January 19th. The party, allegedly hosted at the home of Roosevelt Elementary School principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, involved matching t-shirts and readily available alcohol.
Police arrived after receiving reports of the large gathering. They found a juvenile on the lawn suffering from an alcohol-related medical emergency, requiring treatment from Brevard County Fire Rescue.
Authorities say Hill-Brodigan was seen turning off her outdoor lights as paramedics attended to the intoxicated juvenile. A separate traffic stop near the scene resulted in a DUI arrest of another juvenile.
Another Roosevelt Elementary teacher, Karly Anderson, was also reportedly at the party.
Following interviews with juveniles and parents, police arrested Hill-Brodigan. She faces charges of child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and hosting an open house party.
Anderson was also arrested and charged with child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Roosevelt Elementary School has not yet commented on the incident. The police investigation remains ongoing.
