Zuckerberg Says Musk Did It Better

Additional Coverage:

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had some kind words for rival Elon Musk during Meta’s recent earnings call. Zuckerberg praised X’s Community Notes feature, a crowdsourced system for adding context to posts.

He even admitted that X’s system is superior to Meta’s previous method of using third-party fact-checkers. Zuckerberg stated that Meta plans to adopt a similar approach, believing it will improve their platforms.

This isn’t the first time Zuckerberg has complimented X’s content moderation strategy. He recently announced Meta’s shift away from traditional fact-checking in favor of a system resembling Community Notes.

The two tech giants have a history of public disagreements, even hinting at a physical fight last year. Their agreement on this approach to content moderation is noteworthy.

Meta executives echoed Zuckerberg’s sentiments, emphasizing the effectiveness and reduced bias of the crowdsourced model. They believe that requiring diverse perspectives for content review will lead to more balanced ratings, similar to how Community Notes functions on X.
