A moving tribute video released by U.S. Figure Skating honors the young athletes lost in last week’s devastating plane crash over the Potomac River. The video showcases the talent of the 28 skaters, coaches, and family members who perished.
Among those featured is 16-year-old Cory Haynos, shown landing a triple axel just hours before boarding the fatal flight.
The video also highlights the artistry of 11-year-old ice-dancing pair Angela Yang and Sean Kay, displaying their winning routine from the 2025 Midwestern Sectional U.S. Ice Dance Final.
Other victims remembered in the montage include Brielle Beyer, Edward Zhou, Everly and Alydia Livingston, Franco Aparicio, and Jinna Han.
The crash, which involved an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a regional jet carrying 64 people, claimed the lives of everyone onboard. Fifty-five bodies have been recovered so far, many with connections to the figure skating community.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the accident, including the possibility of understaffing contributing to the tragedy.
