Whoopi Goldberg Reveals Why Joy Behar Missed “The View”

Viewers noticed Joy Behar’s absence from The View this week, with former co-host Star Jones filling in. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg finally explained Behar’s absence on Thursday’s show.

Goldberg announced that Behar was preparing for the opening night of her new off-Broadway play, “My First Ex-Husband.” The show premiered last night at the Mac-Haydn Theater in New York.

“My First Ex-Husband” is based on Behar’s own experiences with love and relationships. The play promises a humorous look at the complexities of love, sex, and relationships.

The show boasts a rotating cast. The initial cast includes Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, and Adrienne C.

Moore. Future casts will feature well-known names like Judy Gold, Susan Lucci, Cathy Moriarty, Tonya Pinkins, Veanne Cox, Gina Gershon, Jackie Hoffman, and Andrea Navedo.

This isn’t Behar’s first foray into theater. She’s previously appeared in plays like “The Food Chain” and “The Vagina Monologues,” and also wrote and performed her own solo show, “Me, My Mouth and I.”
