Disgraced Prince Andrew continues to face scrutiny over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. He was previously stripped of his royal title and has fallen out of favor with the public and his own family. King Charles has even reportedly attempted to evict him from the Royal Lodge.
Andrew previously claimed he cut ties with Epstein in December 2010. However, a newly surfaced email suggests otherwise.
The email, sent from Andrew to Epstein in February 2011, urges Epstein to “keep in close touch.” This contradicts Andrew’s earlier statements and coincides with the release of a photograph of him with then-17-year-old Virginia Giuffre.
This latest revelation has further upset the Royal Family, who have already publicly denounced Andrew’s actions. King Charles is reportedly particularly distressed.
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich says the King is expected to further distance himself from Andrew and ensure he doesn’t appear with other senior royals.
Another royal expert, Ian Pelham Turner, notes that these continued allegations further damage the royal family’s image. The King is reportedly bracing for further revelations about his younger brother’s involvement with Epstein.
