Local soap star Kirsten Storms, known for her role as Maxie Jones on “General Hospital,” recently fired back at a social media critic. Storms, who has played Maxie for two decades, has been open with fans about her health journey, including recent brain surgery and subsequent weight gain. She’s been documenting her fitness progress, proudly sharing her transformation.

One Instagram post showcasing her toned tricep drew a negative comment accusing her of photoshopping the image. The commenter claimed the definition of her arm looked unrealistic.

Storms quickly shut down the accusation with a witty reply. She joked about her lack of photoshop skills, even mentioning her 11-year-old daughter had to teach her how to screenshare. She then expressed sadness for the commenter’s “hater mentality” and wished them a better day.

On “General Hospital,” Maxie’s storyline is currently focused on her rekindled romance with Spinelli and the complexities of raising their blended family. With Lulu’s return from a coma, Maxie is also juggling her friendship with Brook Lynn, who happens to be Lulu’s rival. While things are relatively calm for Maxie at the moment, upcoming February sweeps could bring new drama to Port Charles.
