The View Co-Hosts Cheer on Joy Behar’s New Play

Additional Coverage:

“The View” co-host Joy Behar recently took a break from her daytime television duties to celebrate the opening night of her Off-Broadway play, “My First Ex-Husband.” The play, inspired by Behar’s fascination with marriage and divorce, features a rotating cast. The current cast, including Behar herself, will perform through February 23rd, 2025 (presumably a typo, intended to be 2024).

Behar’s “View” co-stars rallied around her to show their support. Many attended the opening night, including Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Star Jones, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sherri Shepherd, Sara Haines, and Gretta Monahan. ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic and “The View’s” executive producer Brian Teta were also in attendance.

Several other celebrities were also present for the premiere, including Susan Lucci and Cathy Moriarty.

While Whoopi Goldberg was absent from Behar’s opening night, she had previously explained Behar’s absence from “The View” was due to the play’s premiere. Goldberg attended a fashion show.

Back on “The View,” she led a discussion with the co-hosts about their favorite Super Bowl snacks. The ladies shared a variety of choices, ranging from chili to a seven-layer dip, a tostada bar, and even a “brookie,” a combination of a brownie and a cookie.
