The Brown family, stars of TLC’s Sister Wives, are taking a break. After the mid-season finale aired on February 2nd, Kody Brown, his wife Robyn, and his ex-wives Christine, Janelle, and Meri, will return to screens this spring.
While a specific return date hasn’t been announced, a recently released trailer hints at plenty of drama to come. The preview shows tension between Meri and Robyn, with Meri questioning Robyn’s sincerity about their relationship.
It also features Kody and Robyn out on a date, where Robyn asks a pointed question about Kody’s feelings on plural marriage. His response is left unseen in the trailer.
The trailer also highlights ongoing property discussions between Janelle and Meri at Coyote Pass and shows snippets of conflict between Kody and his ex-wives. A Tell-All special, hosted by Sukanya Krishnan, is also confirmed. The special will feature individual interviews with each cast member.
Previews of the Tell-All suggest Janelle will discuss her dating preferences, Meri will share what she’s looking for in a partner, and Robyn will express her desire to be left out of her former sister wives’ conversations. Christine is shown bringing up Kody and Robyn’s engagement photos, hinting at premarital intimacy, which leads to a heated exchange between Kody and Krishnan.
Some viewers have expressed disappointment with the current season, finding some storylines, like Christine’s new romance, less compelling. They are hoping for more dramatic content in the second half. The mid-season break may allow producers to include more recent footage, potentially addressing viewers’ desire for “juicier” content.
For fans still wanting more, Christine Brown is releasing a tell-all book in September. She describes it as a “gritty and honest” account of her experiences with polygamy, her marriage, leaving her religion, and finding love with David Woolley.
