Stop Spam Calls, Emails, and Texts Now

Additional Coverage:

Tired of spam calls, texts, and emails clogging up your iPhone? You’re not alone.

While our phones offer great protection against malicious apps, spam messages disguised as tempting offers or lottery wins still slip through. Fortunately, there are ways to fight back.

One simple step is to silence unknown callers. This sends calls from numbers not in your contacts directly to voicemail.

You’ll still see a missed call notification, allowing you to check the message later. To activate this, go to Settings, then Phone, then Silence Unknown Callers.

For email overload, enable “Filter Unknown Senders.” This directs emails from unrecognized contacts to a separate junk folder, decluttering your inbox and saving storage space. Find this feature in Settings, then Mail, then Filter Unknown Senders.

Spam texts are increasingly common. Use the “Filter Unknown Senders” option for texts, and block persistent spam numbers.

To block a number, open the message, tap the contact, then Info, and finally “Block This Caller.” Remember that spammers frequently change numbers, so filtering unknown senders is crucial.
