- ‘Family Feud’ host Steve Harvey threatens to ‘tear down’ the set if one answer shows up on board (marketrealist.com)
“Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is known for his playful ribbing of contestants. However, even his good-natured humor has limits. During one memorable game with the Allen family, a question about a Steve Harvey Halloween costume nearly pushed him over the edge.
The family started strong, guessing correct answers like “mustache” and “nice suit.” Harvey seemed pleased.
“Good joke” and even “big lips” were also on the board. But then, contestant Lamont offered “big nose.”
Harvey’s playful demeanor vanished. He threatened to tear down the entire set if “big nose” appeared on the board. Thankfully for everyone, it wasn’t, and the game continued without incident.
This wasn’t Harvey’s only on-set outburst. Another episode saw him lose patience with a contestant named Gary. Gary’s incessant clapping, even while Harvey explained the rules, drew the host’s ire.
“Stop clapping Gary,” Harvey exclaimed, visibly irritated. “Really Gary?
I can’t even read this damn card. You clap after you give the answer.”
The moment, while tense, ultimately became another funny “Family Feud” anecdote.
