“The Price is Right” host Drew Carey and his team of models are known for their on-screen antics, but sometimes things go hilariously wrong. Model Alexis Gaube recently learned this firsthand while showcasing a refrigerator.
Gaube opened the appliance’s doors, only to have its contents spill onto the stage floor. Carey, in true comedic fashion, dissolved into laughter.
He quipped, advising Gaube to leave the mess while assuring contestants they’d receive a better refrigerator, since the one on stage was just a “floor model.” Gaube later shared the comical mishap on her Instagram account, where fans joined in on the fun.
Refrigerator spills are minor, however, compared to other “Price is Right” mishaps. Veteran model Rachel Reynolds once drove a prize car onto the stage, but her celebratory wave distracted her from the brakes.
The car crashed through a set wall, leaving Reynolds stunned but composed. She apologized to the contestant, adding that she thought the car was still drivable. The incident has become one of the show’s most memorable bloopers.
