Local viewers are tuning in to season 15 of 7 Little Johnstons to witness Amber and Trent Johnston coping with the care of Trent’s aging parents. A recent episode revealed the sad passing of Trent’s father.

In an upcoming episode titled “A Sudden Loss,” the family gathers to say goodbye to their beloved “Poppy.” The episode will air on February 18th.

Trent shares a touching eulogy he wrote for his father, Walter “Pete” Lawrence Johnston, who passed away at the age of 90. He fondly recalls attending Atlanta Braves games with his dad at Fulton County Stadium.

Trent remembers walking through a tunnel with his dad and buying boiled peanuts from a familiar vendor. He recounts the vendor always greeting his father by name.

Young Trent asked his dad how the vendor remembered him. His father imparted a valuable life lesson: as little people, they would always be remembered, and it was up to them to make a positive impression.

Fighting back tears, Trent continues reading his eulogy. He remembers his father’s advice: “We are little people.

Some may judge us on our size. When you shake hands with somebody, squeeze it hard, son.

Let them know you’re strong.”

Reflecting on his father’s passing, Trent shares that losing a parent is always difficult, but his father’s strong faith is a blessing. He emphasizes the sincerity of his belief that his father is now watching over them.
