Ozzy’s Final Show Tickets Spark Fan Fury

Additional Coverage:

Local fans of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are expressing outrage over ticket prices for the band’s farewell performance in Birmingham, U.K. this summer. Pre-sale tickets ranged from roughly $240 to over $1,000.

The July 5th concert at Villa Park will mark Osbourne’s final performance as he continues his battle with Parkinson’s. It will feature the original Black Sabbath members together on stage for the first time in two decades.

The lineup also boasts other iconic metal bands including Metallica, Slayer, Gojira, Alice in Chains, and Lamb of God. A “supergroup” featuring members of Limp Bizkit, Van Halen, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Faith No More will also perform.

Proceeds will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. However, fans took to social media to vent their frustrations over the high costs and Ticketmaster wait times.

Some fans defended the prices, pointing to the charitable cause. Others shared screenshots of ticket prices nearing $600, questioning the justification, even for charity.

Osbourne recently revealed he’ll only be performing short segments during the concert, rather than a full set, due to his health. He stated he’ll do “what I can where I feel comfortable.”
