Contestant’s Wig Surprise Shocks ‘Price is Right’ Host

Additional Coverage:

Local contestant surprises “Price is Right” host Drew Carey with an unexpected celebration. Aliaya, from Sacramento, made a splash on the show, first by winning her spot on Contestant’s Row with a near-perfect bid.

Her excitement overflowed as she ran to the stage, ripping off her wig and hugging a stunned Carey. The audience roared with laughter as Carey, clearly amused, struggled to regain his composure.

After a brief chat where Aliaya revealed she worked in law enforcement, Carey couldn’t resist a joke about her being “undercover.” Announcer George Gray joined in the laughter.

Aliaya then played the Grand Game for a chance at $10,000. Carey, still chuckling, explained the rules: correctly guess grocery items priced below a target amount to add zeros to a starting dollar.

Aliaya quickly racked up $1,000. Declaring herself “not a quitter,” she continued, correctly guessing the price of pain ointment and winning the full $10,000. This time, her celebration was wig-secure.
