Missing Fast Food Favorites

Additional Coverage:

Fast food menus are constantly changing, but some discontinued items leave a lasting impression on devoted fans. A recent analysis of online searches revealed the top 10 fast food favorites that people still crave.

KFC’s Potato Wedges, replaced by fries in 2020, came in at number 10. Fans miss the thick, crispy wedges and haven’t forgiven the chain for the switch. Some have even started online petitions for their return.

Number nine on the list is Taco Bell’s Fiesta Salad. This surprisingly popular salad, served in an edible tortilla bowl, is mourned by those looking for a (somewhat) healthier fast food option.

Taco Bell’s Meximelt, a taco-quesadilla hybrid, landed at number eight. Removed in 2019, it returned briefly in late 2024 but its future remains uncertain.

Arby’s Potato Cakes, discontinued in 2021 and then brought back for a limited time in 2024, took the seventh spot. Fans rejoiced at their return, but the limited-time offer leaves their long-term fate unknown.

Burger King Salads came in sixth. These simple salads were quietly removed in 2022 with no sign of returning.

McDonald’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Parfait, a casualty of 2020, ranked fifth. Fans miss this healthy option, which featured layers of yogurt, fruit, and granola.

The Taco Bell Enchirito, a beloved enchilada-burrito combination, secured the fourth spot. Its history is a rollercoaster of appearances and disappearances, leaving fans constantly wondering about its availability.

Domino’s Brooklyn Style Pizza claimed third place. Discontinued in 2024 and replaced with a less popular “New York Style” pizza, it’s still missed by those who enjoyed its foldable crust.

Chipotle’s Carne Asada, a popular but infrequent menu item, came in second. Its appearances have been brief and sporadic, leaving fans wanting more.

And the most missed fast food item? The McDonald’s McRib. This legendary sandwich has a long history of limited-time releases, creating a cycle of anticipation and disappointment for its devoted fans.
