Local reality TV stars Willie and Jase Robertson shared some difficult news about their mother, Kay Robertson, on their podcast, Duck Call Room. The 77-year-old family matriarch recently suffered a serious fall, resulting in a substantial leg injury that required a trip to the emergency room.
Jase described the cut as “graphic” and the entire situation as “severe.” He was about to speak at an event when he received a photo of the injury from one of Kay’s caretakers. Despite the shock, he continued with his speaking engagement after urging them to take her to the hospital.
Thankfully, Kay is recovering well and using a walker. However, Jase revealed that his mother has been experiencing more frequent falls lately.
The brothers also shared an update on their father, Phil, 78. He continues to battle Alzheimer’s and a blood disorder, and recently underwent his sixth back procedure in about a year. Both parents are facing cognitive challenges.
Willie and Jase have taken on the responsibility of caring for their aging parents. They admitted to playing “good cop, bad cop” to navigate disagreements and encourage their parents to complete necessary tasks.
Despite these personal challenges, the Robertson family, including Willie and Jase, are preparing for a Duck Dynasty revival series.
