Local Mom Warns of Potential Issues with Costco Diapers

A local mother is warning other parents about potential problems with Costco’s Kirkland Signature diapers. Krissy May, a TikTok user, claims the diapers caused skin irritation for her daughter after the retailer switched manufacturers earlier this year.

Costco reportedly changed from Kimberly-Clark, the maker of Huggies, to First Quality, which produces Cuties diapers. May says her daughter began complaining of itchiness shortly after the switch.

In a video shared online, May explained how she investigated the issue, ruling out any infection. She then purchased Huggies diapers, and the irritation reportedly cleared up.

May’s video has resonated with other parents online. Some have reported similar issues with the new Kirkland diapers, including rashes and excess material left on their children’s skin.

While experts say both manufacturers produce quality diapers, some have noted design differences. The previous Kirkland diapers had a curved design considered more ergonomic. Parents are advised to switch diaper brands if they notice any issues with their current choice.
