Princess Kate paid tribute to the late Liz Hatton on International Women’s Day, highlighting her strength and creativity. The Princess first met Hatton, a photographer, during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle in October 2024.
Both Kate and Prince William included Hatton on their International Women’s Day list of inspiring women. The royal couple originally met Hatton following the October investiture, where she photographed honorees. They shared a photo on social media at the time, praising Hatton’s talent and strength.
The October event marked Kate’s first official appearance after completing chemotherapy treatment for an undisclosed cancer. Diagnosed earlier in 2024, the Princess limited public engagements during treatment, which concluded in September of that year.
She later released a video statement reflecting on the challenging period and expressing gratitude for the simple things in life. Her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, also appeared in the video.
