Nicolas Cage Cleared in Ex-Girlfriend’s Lawsuit
Actor Nicolas Cage has been dismissed from a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, related to an alleged assault by their son, Weston Cage. Ms.
Fulton originally sued Weston Cage for assault and battery, and included Nicolas Cage in the suit, alleging negligence and claiming he failed to prevent his son’s alleged actions. However, the claims against the Oscar-winning actor have been dropped, according to reports.
When the lawsuit was initially filed in February, Cage’s legal team called the accusations against him “frivolous,” stating that the actor has no control over his son’s behavior and is not responsible for the alleged assault. Weston Cage’s lawyer also responded at the time, suggesting the lawsuit was primarily motivated by financial gain and attention-seeking, citing Ms. Fulton’s history of legal action against family members.
Ms. Fulton’s case against Weston Cage continues.
She alleges he attacked her without provocation in April 2024, resulting in various injuries, including concussion and trauma. Weston Cage was arrested in June 2024 and charged with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon, to which he pleaded not guilty.
Ms. Fulton claims Nicolas Cage was aware of their son’s history of mental health struggles and alleged violent behavior, but continued to provide financial support, thereby enabling the alleged actions.
