Nail-Biting Win on ‘The Price is Right’!
“The Price is Right” is known for its exciting wins and heartbreaking losses, but one thing’s for sure: the energy is always high! While some games seem easy, others, like the Clock Game, can really put a contestant’s pricing skills to the test. Recently, a contestant named Jerome experienced this firsthand, nearly cracking under pressure before pulling off an incredible victory.
Jerome was playing for a prize package that included a comfy chair, an Xbox 360, a Playstation, a stack of games, and a bonus prize of a brand-new TV. The challenge?
The Clock Game. With only 30 seconds on the clock, Jerome had to guess the price of two items without any hints, guided only by host Drew Carey’s “higher” or “lower” cues.
Guess both right within the time limit, and he’d win everything plus a $1,000 bonus. One right meant a single prize; none right, and he’d walk away empty-handed.
Before starting, Carey jokingly advised Jerome to communicate clearly, “Don’t mumble like I do!” Jerome’s first guess for the chair was $300 – way off the mark. He circled around the actual price ($549) for what felt like an eternity, finally nailing it with just seconds to spare!
After a quick breather, Jerome moved on to the electronics package. His initial guess of $800 was impressively close to the $770 retail price. With Carey guiding him, Jerome inched closer, ultimately locking in the correct price with barely a millisecond left on the clock!
Carey erupted, “Man! He wins the game and the bonus prizes!” It was a truly thrilling finish, proving that on “The Price is Right,” anything can happen.
