Carrie Underwood’s Surprise Guest Makes Fans Cry

Additional Coverage:

Country music star Carrie Underwood brought fans to tears with a moving tribute to Randy Travis during the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary celebration in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 19.

Underwood, accompanied by her husband, Mike Fisher, stunned the audience with renditions of two of Travis’s beloved hits, “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Forever and Ever, Amen.” The highlight of the performance came at the song’s close, when Underwood approached Travis, who has been bravely battling health issues since suffering a stroke in 2013, and offered him the microphone. The country icon then delivered a powerful rendition of the final “Amen,” sending waves of emotion through the crowd.

Social media platforms buzzed with heartfelt reactions to the touching moment. Fans shared their tears and praise for Underwood and Travis, calling it the “best moment” of the celebration and a perfect tribute.

The performance comes on the heels of Travis’s return to music with two new AI-assisted songs released in the past year, “Where That Came From” and “Horses In Heaven.” A biopic about the Country Music Hall of Famer, titled Forever and Ever, Amen, is also currently in production.
