Royal commentator Angela Levin has sharply criticized Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” accusing the Duchess of Sussex of mocking the late Queen Elizabeth II. Levin took particular exception to green waffle creations featured on the show, decorated with white cream hair, suggesting they bore a striking resemblance to the late monarch.
“This was too shocking for words,” Levin stated in an interview. “It’s the white hair and she’s thinking the whole royal family are stupid.”
Levin believes the resemblance was intentional, drawing a comparison to a previous Netflix appearance where Markle allegedly disregarded royal customs while curtsying. “I think it was done deliberately,” Levin commented during a GB News appearance.
“Do you remember when she did the curtsy and she got the giggles because she found it so funny? She was very rude then and this is another way of doing it.”
Levin further condemned Markle’s actions, stating, “I can’t think of anybody doing anything more unkind. She’s very clever and cunning because she will say, ‘I didn’t realize’.”
This latest controversy adds to the growing criticism surrounding Markle’s new series, with some labeling the lifestyle tips presented as “unrealistic.” The show features the 43-year-old discussing activities like making teabags, candles, and jam with her daughter, Lilibet.
Despite the negative feedback, “With Love, Meghan” has been renewed for a second season and has reportedly garnered 2.6 million views since its premiere. A television executive hinted at the financial potential of the second season, suggesting that merchandise and product lines tied to the show are expected to be highly profitable.
