Beloved “Little House” Star Dies

Patty Maloney, known for her roles on Little House on the Prairie and the Star Wars Holiday Special, has passed away at age 89. Her brother, Dave Myrabo, confirmed her death on March 31st, stating she was in hospice care in Winter Park, Florida, following a series of strokes. He fondly remembered his sister, saying, “For a little person growing up in a big world, she did everything she wanted to do.”

Maloney’s career spanned numerous television roles, including Lumpy in the Star Wars Holiday Special and Honk in Far Out Space Nuts. Her final acting credit was in a 2005 episode of My Name is Earl. In 2010, she was diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration.

Maloney is survived by her brother, Dave, nieces Jennifer and Laura, and brother-in-law, Vic. Her passing comes shortly after the death of fellow Little House on the Prairie actor, Jack Lilley.
