Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash Over North West’s Music Video Debut

Additional Coverage:

Kim Kardashian’s promotion of a music video featuring her daughter, North West, has sparked controversy among her followers. The video, for the song “Childlike Things” by artist FKA Twigs, shows Twigs and others in nude-colored clothing attempting to persuade music executives to produce a video for the track. North West makes a cameo appearance, rapping a few lines while dressed in a white furry outfit, sunglasses, and jewelry.

While North’s lyrics, which include religious affirmations, are not overtly inappropriate, many of Kardashian’s Instagram followers expressed disapproval. Critics cited concerns about the suggestive nature of the dancers’ attire, particularly given North’s involvement, and questioned the appropriateness of featuring a child in a video with such themes.

Some also raised broader concerns about FKA Twigs’ artistic themes, arguing that they often center on the exploitation of female artists. Kardashian’s simple caption, “CHILDLIKE THINGS FT.

NORTH @FKATWIGS,” did little to quell the negative reactions.
