Local Man Wins Big on “Price Is Right” 10,000th Episode

A local contestant on “The Price is Right” had an emotional win during the show’s 10,000th episode celebration. Ryan, whose last name was not disclosed, won $100,000 in the Grand Game, ten times the usual prize amount.

The show’s producers boosted the Grand Game winnings to commemorate the milestone episode. Ryan secured a spot in the Grand Game after winning Bidder’s Row. Announcer George Gray revealed the increased prize money, bringing Ryan to tears even before the game began.

The Grand Game requires contestants to select grocery items priced below a target value. Each correct guess increases the prize money.

Typically starting at $1, the prize climbs to a potential $10,000. However, for this special episode, the game began at $10, offering a chance at $100,000.

Ryan successfully navigated most of the game, becoming visibly emotional with each correct guess. Host Drew Carey reminded him of the option to cash out at $10,000, but Ryan decided to go for the grand prize.

With the audience chanting “Onions!”, Ryan chose the vegetable for his final pick. The onions were indeed priced below the target, securing Ryan the $100,000 prize and causing him to break down in tears of joy.

The show celebrated the heartwarming moment on social media, sharing the clip and asking viewers if they, too, were moved by Ryan’s win.
