- Drew Carey turns matchmaker as he invited a man to propose to his GF on ‘Price is Right’ stage (marketrealist.com)
Love is always in the air on “The Price Is Right,” but recently, Cupid’s arrows seem to be flying more frequently than Plinko chips! Host Drew Carey traded his microphone for a matchmaking hat, helping contestant Daniel orchestrate a surprise proposal for his girlfriend, Laura.
During a commercial break, Carey led Daniel to the stage, giving him the perfect platform to pop the question. A visibly shocked Laura joined him onstage, and to the delight of the cheering audience, she said yes!
The newly engaged couple sealed the deal with a kiss and a hug as the show played the wedding march. Ever the comedian, Carey congratulated the happy couple with a playful, “Congratulations, sucker!”
and offered some lighthearted advice to Daniel: feign amnesia about anything that happened before the proposal!
This wasn’t the only recent engagement to grace the “Price Is Right” stage. In a separate episode, contestant Morgan Welge had a day she’ll never forget, winning over $35,000 in prizes and a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Nicholas Parker.
After Parker’s heartfelt proposal, a stunned Morgan accepted, sending the audience into a frenzy. Even Carey was speechless, managing only a series of awestruck “Wows” before congratulating the lucky contestant.
It truly was, as Carey put it, an unforgettable day for Morgan. It seems that on “The Price is Right,” contestants aren’t just winning prizes, they’re winning love!
