Mickey Rourke’s Stint on Celebrity Big Brother Ends Abruptly

Actor Mickey Rourke’s time on Celebrity Big Brother has come to a dramatic end following multiple instances of inappropriate behavior. After just days in the house, Rourke, 72, departed the show following a discussion with Big Brother producers.

The actor, known for his role in The Wrestler, first received a formal warning after making comments considered homophobic toward fellow housemate and social media personality JoJo Siwa. Siwa, 21, accused Rourke of making offensive remarks about her sexuality, including stating his intention to vote her off the show because of it.

This prompted a warning from Big Brother about unacceptable language and behavior. Fellow contestant and Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32, consoled Siwa following the incident.

Rourke’s departure came after a subsequent incident involving Hughes over the weekend. While details remain limited, reports indicate Rourke used aggressive and threatening language towards Hughes.

Though no physical altercation occurred, the incident proved to be the final straw, leading to Rourke’s exit from the show. An official statement from the show confirmed Rourke’s departure was due to “further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”

Rourke had entered the reality show just days prior alongside Siwa, Hughes, and ten other celebrities.
