Firefighter Sam Carver Returns to Firehouse 51 After Rehab Stint

Firefighter Sam Carver has been noticeably absent from recent episodes of Chicago Fire. After struggling with a drinking problem and a difficult breakup with Paramedic Violet Mikami last season, Carver reached a breaking point.

He confided in Lieutenant Stella Kidd, assuring her his drinking had never interfered with his duties, and requested time off. Kidd facilitated Carver’s entry into rehab.

Now, Carver is back. He will return in Season 13, Episode 18, titled “Post-Mortem,” airing April 16.

This episode also marks the return of Eamonn Walker as Wallace Boden, who was promoted to Deputy Commissioner earlier in the series. Boden’s return is tied to an investigation into a devastating fire that has left one firefighter in peril.

The episode promises to be dramatic, with Carver playing a key role in the unfolding events. Images from the episode show him actively involved in the firefight.

This episode will be a pivotal one, with both Carver’s return and Boden’s investigation converging. Fans can also expect further developments in the ongoing storylines of Chicago Med and Chicago P.D., each with five episodes remaining this season.
