Local Man Wins Mercedes on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ After Near Elimination
A local “Wheel of Fortune” contestant, Jason, experienced a dramatic turnaround, going from nearly zero dollars to winning a Mercedes-Benz in a stunning Bonus Round victory.
Jason initially struggled, ending the first round with no money. However, he quickly rebounded, solving a puzzle in the second round for $14,000.
Despite a slight slowdown in subsequent rounds, he ultimately secured a spot in the Bonus Round with $25,000. “From zero to the Bonus Round like that, I love it,” Jason remarked, joined onstage by his sister and niece for support.
With the bonus puzzle category “Phrases” and the letters R, S, T, L, N, and E revealed, Jason chose the letters C, G, H, and O, unveiling the puzzle “SO __CH _N CO__ON.” With just 10 seconds, he correctly solved the puzzle: “So much in common.”
Host Ryan Seacrest revealed Jason’s prize was not the usual $40,000, but a new Mercedes-Benz GLA 250. Jason celebrated with his family, clearly ecstatic with his win.
