Celebrities Clash Over All-Female Blue Origin Space Mission
An all-female crew blasted off aboard a Blue Origin rocket on Monday, marking a historic moment in space travel. The crew included singer Katy Perry, journalist Lauren Sanchez, TV host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and civil rights activist and research scientist Amanda Nguyen. Actresses Olivia Wilde and Olivia Munn, model Emily Ratajkowski, and comedian Amy Schumer all voiced their disapproval. Wilde shared a meme of Perry exiting the spacecraft with the caption, “Getting off a commercial flight in 2025,” and commented, “Billion dollars bought some good memes I guess.”
