Martha Stewart throws playful shade at Katy Perry’s space trip.

The domestic diva, known for her impeccable taste and even sharper wit, seemingly joined the chorus of celebrities ribbing Katy Perry’s recent 11-minute voyage to space aboard a Blue Origin flight. Stewart posted a throwback video on Instagram of herself experiencing zero gravity in a special airplane back in 2007.

The caption? A playful nod to Perry’s hit song “Firework”: “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?”

She further emphasized her point with, “In case you spaced out in 2007, Martha has always been ahead of her time.”

Stewart’s followers were delighted with the apparent jab, praising her trolling skills and comedic timing. Many pointed out the contrast between Stewart’s comparatively low-cost zero-gravity experience and the exorbitant price tag associated with Blue Origin flights, estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars per person.

Perry’s trip, along with other celebrities on the all-female crew, has drawn considerable criticism for its brevity and cost. Detractors have questioned the value of such short flights, particularly given the environmental concerns surrounding space tourism. While some crew members, including Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez, have defended the mission, citing its inspirational impact on young women, others like Olivia Wilde, Amy Schumer, Emily Ratajkowski, Olivia Munn, and Kesha have joined the ranks of those poking fun at the venture.
